We are currently inviting a talented professional to join our Bangkok office, Thailand for the exciting role below.

The Job

• Support the sourcing process by conducting preliminary assessments of production sites, reviewing technical documentation, advising improvement and corrective actions for potential suppliers in assigned regions (Turkey, Egypt, India, Thailand).
• Work closely with international buyers, suppliers and Merchandising teams managing quality aspects for new and repeated orders, from supplier audits and specifications approval to production monitoring and shipment release.
• Organize and manage pre-shipment inspection, sampling and testing activities, review documentations and provide professional advice and recommendations on the results.
• Manage the performance of testing and inspection houses, proactively report potential quality and shipment risks, and provide solutions.
• Coordinate complaints investigations, provide feedback based on suppliers’ data and monitor the implementation of corrective actions to close deviations.
• Maintain accurate and timely data and documentation in the systems.

Requirements

• Degree holder in food science, food engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3 years’ work experience in food quality assurance, plus prior experience in ambient (canned, dry) and frozen (fish, fruits) product categories.
• Familiar with legal and quality standards for processed food products in the EU market.
• Previous experience with the Turkish and Indian supply base of advantage.
• Self-disciplined and equipped with time- and project management skills, capable to deliver within agreed deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of the team in a cross-cultural environment.
• Solution-oriented, attention to details, and always striving for customer success and excellent service.
• Mature personality with a high level of independence and integrity.
• Advance level in both spoken and written English.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Flexible with business trips (both in the country and abroad).
