Quality

Quality is not a coincidence

To ensure REWE Group’s quality standards REWE Far East has established a quality department for all products the REWE Group purchases. The quality experts are working in close cooperation with REWE Far East merchandiser and REWE colleagues in the head office. Their main task is the assessment of all products the REWE Group’s quality requirements before the products and goods can begin the journey to Europe. The assessment includes the evaluation of all products, the control of technical reports and documentation and coordination of the testing- and inspection of service providers.

In REWE terms good quality of a product does not stop in fulfilling just legal requirements. The REWE Group sets higher quality standards on purchased products than the legal requirements do.

In addition, to ensure that suppliers understand and support REWE Group’s quality requirements, our quality experts provide technical support and assistance on site to factory personnel before and during production.

Only goods which pass our extensive quality controls will be allowed for shipment.
